Biography Mr. Fernandez is a Partner at Fernandez Young LLP a Certified General Accountants firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He also is the CEO and Chairman of the Board for the FY Group of Companies. Mr. Fernandez has had a broad range of experience in the fields of Consulting, Forensic Accounting, Business Valuation and Auditing. Mr. Fernandez has acted as advisor for a number of local and international corporations in the process of corporate re-structuring and re-engineering that has allowed them to turn around their operations into more profitable organizations. Also he advises and coordinates strategies of development with other professionals in behalf of his clients Throughout the last 20 years Mr. Fernandez has assisted both individuals and corporations from Latin America and Spain to set up their business activities and investments in Canada, US and overseas tax havens. In the same manner he has assisted Canadian and US corporations to penetrate and/or establish operations in Latin America. Mr. Fernandez' business experience in dealing with private and public, medium and small sized corporations in the Americas (North & South) provides him with a broad understanding of cross-boarder issues that originates from linguistic and cultural differences. Mr. Fernandez has presented a variety of seminars in the areas of Business Development, International Trade, and Business Immigration both locally and abroad during the past three years Biography Julio Young joined Fernandez Young LLP in 1993 and is the firm's Tax Partner. He is also a director of FY International and a member of its International Tax Advisory Group. Prior to joining FYA, he was a Corporate Controller with a prominent real estate development company located in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a partner in Fernandez, Young & Associates, Julio is involved in tax planning in all areas of personal, corporate and estate taxation, in particular, advising on real estate tax issues and establishment of resident and non-resident trusts and offshore corporations for professionals and owner managers with cross border transactions. As a member of the Tax Group of FY International, Julio coordinates and participates in the delivery of services to Latin America and other non-resident clients seeking international tax advice. His fluency in Spanish and Cantonese gives him an advantage in advising non-resident clients on the most effective structures for carrying business in Canada. Julio obtained his CGA designation in 1987, and continues to maintain the highest professional development standards, in particular he is a graduate of the two-year CICA In-Depth Tax Course. Biography Renan Cabrera is one of the co-founders of Fernandez Young LLP and is the Business Development Partner in the Firm. Renan is an expert in corporative finances and capitalization of projects. Educated in Canada in finance and business administration, he has 25 years experience evaluating financial transactions, projects requiring capital of investment and refinancing of regional and international operations. This has allowed him to approach investors who require his ability to evaluate, to measure and to assess operations and financial projects. Currently, Renan supports a varied range of projects in the Americas that are financed by investors worldwide. He is well recognized by international banks and investors. His creativity and ability to identify financial solutions and strategies, make important financial operations possible that would not materialized otherwise. Renan, is the VP of Business Development for FY International. His relations with Asian investors have allowed him to participate in attractive operations that require large amounts of capital not commonly obtained in Latin America. In addition, he maintains an extensive network of contacts at international levels. Biography Fernando Slimovich joined Fernandez Young LLP to assist in the Development of business opportunities in the Americas, research and analysis of international markets, and to design of operational procedures for international clients. Mr.Slimovich assists local and international corporations to carry out business strategies on the international arena. In the past he has managed organizational development projects for multinational corporations operating in North and South American markets such us, The Techint Group from Italy, Carrefour from France, and NEC from Japan. Fernando graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, in 1998, with a Master degree in International Development, and in 1995, he obtained a bachelor degree in Business Administration. Currently, he studies Project Management at The British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada. Biography Ann has been with Fernandez Young LLP for over five years and holds the position of Administration Manager. At Fernandez Young LLP, Ann's is responsible for assisting FY clients with their Human Resources needs. She also coordinates the Tax Season workflow, and the year around compliance assignments within the office. In addition she coordinates with government and regulatory bodies FY LLP compliance with all changes. Ann has completed her Diploma of Business Administration from Capilano College in 1997, Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson River University 2000, Human Resource Management Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2005, and is preparing to write the knowledge exam for her Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation.
